Coorparoo finished Sub-District Cricket Round 7 with two wins.
In the first of three limited overs rounds before Christmas, the B3s beat Cleveland Thornlands by four wickets at Henry Ziegenfusz Park (oval 2 – turf) and the C3s beat Springwood by 48 runs at Jim Neibling Oval.
The B3s chased Cleveland’s 6/152 with two balls to spare, with 34 to Michael McInerney, 31 to Amandeep Thatai, and 29 to Julian Hedditch. Marc Fidler (3/26) and Liam Edwards (3/33) took six wickets between them in Cleveland’s innings.
The C3s successfully defended 8/179 against Springwood. Nine Coorparoo bowlers took a wicket, with Joe Jonathan taking 2/10. Liam Bulloch (44 not out) and Ken Parry (28) top-scored for Coorparoo.
The A1s lost by 37 runs to Napoleans at CJ Greenfield (turf oval). Todd Duncan (4/22), captain Ben Mably (3/31), Connor Freiberg (2/19) dismissed Napoleans for 148. Coorparoo responded with (Tom Cameron 32, Yeswanth Kalva 20).
Sub-District Cricket Round 8 begins next Saturday.
